Preserving Nature's Legacy, One Specimen at a Time
Ratnavandar (“Storehouse of Jewels”) is a pioneering initiative by IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT to safeguard Bangladesh’s agricultural heritage. By collecting and preserving soil from all 30 Agro-Ecological Zones, conserving indigenous seeds, and documenting resilient weeds, it creates a dynamic educational resource for students and researchers. This living archive empowers future agriculturists to tackle biodiversity loss, soil health, and sustainable farming challenges, bridging traditional wisdom with modern science. Ratnavandar is not just preservation—it’s a movement to cultivate resilience, innovation, and pride in Bangladesh’s agricultural legacy.
