On 14th November 2024, eight students from IUBAT’s BSc in Agriculture program planted the seeds of what would become a groundbreaking chapter of IAAS Bangladesh. Driven by a shared belief that Bangladesh’s agricultural future demanded fresh perspectives and empowered youth, these pioneers embarked on a mission: to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world impact.
At the time, IAAS Bangladesh was a network of 15 public agricultural universities. The founders saw an opportunity—IUBAT, as the first private university to join, could inject innovation into the alliance while leveraging IAAS’s national platform. Their goal was clear: create a space where students could lead, experiment, and collaborate on solutions for sustainable agriculture.
Guided by the IAAS Bangladesh constitution and supported by a visionary 10-member Advisory Board (led by the Dean of Agricultural Sciences), the team navigated challenges with resilience.
From securing institutional approvals to designing their first workshop, every step was fueled by their mantra: “Learn by doing, lead by serving.”
